Coastal Renovation with No Time to Spare

Elisabeth headed to the Grand Bahamas to oversee a renovation at her family’s condo after scheduling her trip in between two events being hosted by Coco Blanca. She had four days to get it done, so following the Speakeasy Soiree, she caught a 6AM flight to Lucaya and met with her team of workers shortly after she arrived. Not a minute to spare, not even for her favorite Bahama Mama! Hopping up onto the construction truck, off she went to the lumber mill to purchase supplies.
After loading up with supplies, Elisabeth heads back to the condo, where the demo begins.

A quick walk on the beach for some fresh air before Elisabeth meets with the electrician, plumber and painter …

White sink basins, toilet and custom cabinetry are installed along with new chrome faucets and Waterpik multi-spray shower heads that were hiding out in Elisabeth's suitcase all the way from the States (shhh, don't tell the Port Authority, otherwise a 46% duty tax gets added to the bill).

Since both bathrooms were non-functional, Elisabeth decides to log onto her laptop and send a few emails to her Coco Blanca partners before heading out in search of coconuts.

Time to replace the master bedroom door with a white panel pocket door.

Everything is coming together beautifully, just like the fabulous 88 degree weather outside by the alluring turquoise sea! Time is ticking. Plane leaves in two hours.

Renovation is complete! Elisabeth is delighted with her team who worked tirelessly from morning until way past the beautiful sunsets to get the job done.

Just enough time remaining for Elisabeth to pack her suitcase and hop in her rental car to drive back to the airport (on the wrong side of the street, mind you!) The Bahamas used to be controlled by the Brits until they became an independent Commonwealth in 1973, so 2013 marks their 40th anniversary of independence!

It's Christmas... in July!

Coco Blanca is teaming up with The Christmas Attic and the Businesses of Union Street to bring you the 4th Annual Christmas in July celebration this Saturday, July 20, 2013! After all, when given the option, why celebrate Christmas only once a year?

Come and join the festivities where approximately 15 retailers – including Coco Blanca – will host a variety of festive activities either inside stores or along Union Street, ranging from pictures with Summer Santa & Mrs. Claus, designer trunk shows, artist demonstrations, cookie decorating, kids story time, carolers, carnival fun, music and entertainment, and much more!

As part of the in-store activities taking place all through Union Street's shops and boutiques, Coco Blanca will be hosting a painting demonstration and designer trunk show with local artist Martha Spak. Honor {your} Papa with a gift from Coco

This Father’s Day Coco is letting you in on a little secret… her Father’s Day Gift List! And she hopes you’ll find something your dad will love too.

But, shhh, don’t tell Papa!

Iconic Cocktail Shaker, $39 | Bone Bar Set, $130

Cocktail Shakers, Bar Tool Sets, and Whiskey Stones, Oh My!

You guessed it, first on the list has got to be a bit of barware. And this Stainless Steel Cocktail Shaker fits the bill just right. Engraved with snazzy and fun lines such as “Shake, Rattle and Roll” – the best way to mix a cocktail, we’re sure! – it’s no doubt to become one of dad’s favorites this year.
Whisky Stones, $24.95

Throw in some of these cool and oh so very practical Whisky Stones to keep that drink chilly without watering it down and you’re set!

Manly Gift Set, $33
MEN NEED THEIR OWN STUFF, TOO! No more dry skin for dad. Don't let the ingredient's list fool you. Though it's made with all natural plant extracts, this scent is anything BUT flowery. Doesn't the packaging say it, after all? It's MAN stuff. We can't have it be anything other than, err.... manly!

Bone & Horn Pocket Knives, $38 - $70 | Horn Trivets, $20 - $45

So, whatever your pick, one thing is for sure... it's time to show 'papa' your love. Happy shopping! And an even happier Father's Day!
