Coastal Renovation with No Time to Spare

Elisabeth headed to the Grand Bahamas to oversee a renovation at her family’s condo after scheduling her trip in between two events being hosted by Coco Blanca. She had four days to get it done, so following the Speakeasy Soiree, she caught a 6AM flight to Lucaya and met with her team of workers shortly after she arrived. Not a minute to spare, not even for her favorite Bahama Mama! Hopping up onto the construction truck, off she went to the lumber mill to purchase supplies.
After loading up with supplies, Elisabeth heads back to the condo, where the demo begins.

A quick walk on the beach for some fresh air before Elisabeth meets with the electrician, plumber and painter …

White sink basins, toilet and custom cabinetry are installed along with new chrome faucets and Waterpik multi-spray shower heads that were hiding out in Elisabeth's suitcase all the way from the States (shhh, don't tell the Port Authority, otherwise a 46% duty tax gets added to the bill).

Since both bathrooms were non-functional, Elisabeth decides to log onto her laptop and send a few emails to her Coco Blanca partners before heading out in search of coconuts.

Time to replace the master bedroom door with a white panel pocket door.

Everything is coming together beautifully, just like the fabulous 88 degree weather outside by the alluring turquoise sea! Time is ticking. Plane leaves in two hours.

Renovation is complete! Elisabeth is delighted with her team who worked tirelessly from morning until way past the beautiful sunsets to get the job done.

Just enough time remaining for Elisabeth to pack her suitcase and hop in her rental car to drive back to the airport (on the wrong side of the street, mind you!) The Bahamas used to be controlled by the Brits until they became an independent Commonwealth in 1973, so 2013 marks their 40th anniversary of independence!
